Booking the hall

Olympen träningscenter has a contract with Linnaeus University saying that the fitness center is responsible for administrating Olympen, house J, on Campus.

Who can rent the hall in Olympen?

First and foremost Linnaeus University ockupies the hall during office hours. At the other times VUGI's sections will be using the hall. There are however, vacant times. These are first reserved for organisations and nations linked to the university. Sometimes additional vacant times will appear and may be used by students studying a sports or fitness-associated program at the university. These vacant times may also be booked by anyone else desiring to do so.

VUGI's policy concerning Olympen 2009/2010

• The building is a drug-free environment and there is a total ban on all alcohol consumption, including the hall and the sauna.
• No activity is allowed in the building after 11 PM. The only exceptions are activites at special occasions such as tournaments.
• Organisations performing sports activites in the hall should respect their own and others' times. That is, if you have booked the hall 8-9 PM you can start using it at 8.00 PM at the EARLIEST and you have to be out of the hall at 8.55 PM at the LATEST.
• All shoes for outdoor wear or that rub off on the floor are totally banned on the lower level of the building.
• The university's times are prioritized before VUGI's, VUGI's before the organisations' and nations'. Should the university need extra times it is able to cancel both VUGI's and the organisations' booked activities. However, the university is obliged to notify the other parties at least 2 weeks prior to the concerned date. The same rule applies when VUGI needs to use the times booked by organisations and nations. This right to cancel should not be abused.
• When any of the rules listed above is violated against, the organisation or nation responsible loses its right to ockupy the building and its hall during the remainder of the academic year. This measure will be performed without any prior warnings.
